history of this flower wholesaler

Opened in the late 1850s and soon became one of the major flower wholesalers in the original Covent Garden Flower Market next to the Strand before the wholesale market moved in 1974 to New Covent Garden Market at Nine Elms Vauxhall.

The company was a family owned firm up to the 1960s where it became part of the George Smalley group a Nottinghamshire Potato Merchant. In 1999 the company was acquired by the Anglo Dutch Flower Group and continues the tradition of offering a wide range of Dutch & seasonal flowers at reasonable prices.
